Its just a word man. i get your point, but its semantics. Its the same thing as when people are calling football players warriors, soldiers, beasts, machines, general, commander, etc, etc, etc. Nobody is trying to say a baseball player is the same sort of "hero" as a army soldier who fights for our country. etc. etc. etc.
Thats like saying the word "love" shouldnt be used to say things like "I love pizza" and it should only be used when describing the "love of God or the love of a parent or spouse".
Let it go man, dont be so sensitive. Freedom of Speech remember.

The LSU team last night played like Heros, they were definitely heros, stop being a pussy.
How exactly did they play like heros? They played like a highly ranked team. They played SOMEWHAT to their potential. I agree that Raparoot is getting bent out of shape for nothing. But calling a college baseball team a bunch of heros is a stretch.

Freedom of Speech remember.

Is it ok if we call Spider Man a hero? What about the pilot who ditched in the Hudson?

Amazing. 17 posts so far and nobody has said "Happy Flag Day" to anyone. O.K. I'm an a-hole. But I'm a patriotic a-hole. Oh yeah, Happy Flag Day.
Happy Flag Day a-hole. There, you happy??
You should really stick to piss-poor attempts at writing music and stay away from the keyboard.

I saw Shaq get Mike the Tiger from a tree on TV... so I am pretty sure he is a hero.

in my opinion. For those of you who haven't seen SUNDAY'S SPORTS headline in the ADVOCATE, it says..... "Heroes step forward". Even though I was reading the sports section, the headline caught me off guard. I am kind of a sports junkie but I think the word "hero" should be a more reserved word used for those in the military, the parents who raise mentally challenging children, the ones who struggle everyday to make life better for those less fortunate... the list goes on and on. Sure, LSU had its share of people who stepped up their game yesterday, but the word "hero" is not one that I would have used. Oh yeah, today is FLAG DAY in case anyone cares. My flag hangs from my front yard tree every day to remind me of the heroes both past and present that have fought for me and you. God Bless America on this celebration of Flag Day and
Loosen up. I know we live in the age of PC-ism to the extreme, just let it go. He was a hero to our baseball team. People can be heroes in many facets. Let it go.

Just be thankful that in America you have the freedom to be an a-hole, thanks to heroes. Or something like that.

I tend to agree with Raparooot. To use the word hero is a bit out of line. That word should be reserved for people like the guys that stormed Omaha Beach on D-Day and the firefighters and police officers rushing up the stairs on 9-11. You guys that are saying Raparooot is being oversensative just don't see where he is coming from. Good post Raparooot!!!!!
I also have a flag in my front yard that flies every single day.
