my buddy found a room on the Iowa side for around 80 something dollars a night. I think its the Council Bluff area or something like that, try the casino in that area they said they got a good price there when they went the last time. sorry dont remember the name of the casino off the top of my head.

I am staying a the Redick hotel and I am paying around 140 a night, but I just checked again and I don't know what rooms are available in Omaha anymore. What I would do is actually call the hotels to catch any cancellations throughout the week. Good Luck

So it would be wise to start calling around as soon as the bracket comes out??

Im wanting to drive up one day and stay that night, but depends on what we do on first day.

I've stayed at the Ameristar / Holiday Inn in Council Bluff IA on business about 6 months ago and there was nothing wrong with it. It's right across the river from Omaha. I travel quite a bit and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

At this point I would think your problem will be finding a decent hotel that still has rooms available, and at a decent price.
