I wouldn't recommend the duck. I had it a few weeks ago and wasn't that impressed. Overcooked, skin not as crispy as you'd like, and I didn't care for the sauce. I did love the cabbage that came with it, however.
If they have a steak special, try that. Several of the people I was with had it and couldn't stop raving about it. And don't pass up on some of their charbroiled oysters.

I haven't been since like November, but I'm pretty sure the Oysters Irene were great as always...
Had a very nice softshell crab as well.
Always enjoy it there.

i've heard a lot about the soft shell crab and charboiled oysters...that sounds like the way I am going to go.

Alright we went last Saturday. We ordered the following:
Crabmeat Gratin - very good - lots of crabmeat
Oysters Irene - overrated in my opinion for what I had heard
Escargot - Excellent
Caprese - IMO, the best appetizer we had. Very refreshing.
Entrees - I had the Filet Special 8 oz - one of the most tender steaks I have ever had, cooked perfectly and had excellent toppings of mushrooms that I absolutely loved (I do not even like mushrooms)
I also sampled (we had a table of 11) the soft shell crab, veal marsala and ruby rainbow tout.
The soft shell crab pasta took the prize, even over the filet. The fish I did not care for and veal marsala was average (but then again, I do not really care for mushrooms)
Service was excellent and we had about 3 waiters taking care of us. Reservations were basically on time, we had enough time to finish one drink while waiting for our table, which was nice to sit around listen to the piano and sip on a cocktail.
I was surprised at the dress code. I was expecting it to be a little nicer, but one table next to us had swimtrunks, flip flops and t-shirts. This didnt bother me, just kind of surprised me.
The room we ate in was very quaint, great lighting and made you feel miles from Bourbon St. Great atmosphere.

That is the way it is in N.O. in the summer. I think it kind of stinks that people don't have enough respect to at least put on a pair of kackies for place like this, but the restuarants need the business this time of the year so I know they can't turn their noses up at this crowd.

The place has gotten rather out of control with this, in my opinion.
I don't want to come across as a fuddy, but it's gotten so bad, it really takes away from any sort of ambience the place ever had.
