Fox Sports - 10 best NFL fan bases

Obviously whoever wrote this is not a ticket broker
10. Cowboys
9. Bears
8. Bills
7. Broncos
6. Steelers
5. Packers
4. Browns
3. Raiders
2. Chiefs
1. Eagles
A) Browns fans are overrated and get too much respect for the "tough times". The Browns will have trouble selling out games other than Pittsburgh this year. Their PSL's and tickets are so worthless that I walked away from $2000 (original price of 4) worth of PSL's when I decided not to renew my season tickets this year. I'm sure they'll be excused by the "poor economy", etc. but don't buy it. The fans just abandoned the Brownies last year after their hyped team bombed. Tickets to the Browns opening games were flying for well over face value but towards the end of the season, primetime games v's the Broncos and Colts were going for $10 a pop in decent seats. These fans suck.
B) Cowboys: Cowboys fans are horrible. During the Parcells/Bledsoe years when the Cowboys were a borderline playoff team I averaged below face value for my tickets on eBay. The Cowboys had trouble selling out several regular season games pre-Romo, and had to offer a nearly unprecedented 4-game regular season package to sell out the season. (Most teams who offer a 4-game package do it with 1 preseason and 3 regular season. The Cowboys gave up on selling out the preseason). I'm very curious to see how the Cowboys fill the new 90,000 seat monstrosity. Tickets for the Stadium opener in Primetime v's the hated Eagles can be had for near face value on eBay auctions. It is my sincere belief that Jerry Jones made a huge mistake with the PSL prices and in gauging the fan interest as a whole. Who wants to drive 45 miles away from Dallas to see a shitty overhyped team in a 90,000 seat stadium? They're already discounting their overpriced PSL's to avoid total embarrassment, Jones has murmurs of financial troubles surrounding him, and the bottom will literally fall out if the Cowboys have another shitty year.
C) Bills - A joke. Again a sympathy vote. Go search for tickets to any Bills game and you'll see the best seats in the house going for face value or less.
D) Chiefs - Chiefs fans are arguably the most overrated in the entire NFL. You can go buy as many side-by-side season tickets as you want right now with the click of a button. The Chiefs will also have a blackout or two (at minimum) this year.
Here's my top 10 list from experience and travels:
1. Pittsburgh
2. Green Bay
3. Indianapolis
4. New Orleans
5. Denver
6. Philadelphia
7. NY Giants

You can pull the Cowboys, Bills, Browns, and and Eagles off that list.
Cowboys--bandwagon
Bills--they seem to be really indifferent to talk of their team moving to Canada
Browns--completely agree with you on the Browns
Eagles--they hate everybody including their own team (they are passionate though)

Bills fans deserve to be in the top ten.

Uh huh, so how long you recon they been on the bandwagon? WTF do you mean exactly?
Saints fans arent as die hard as some would make out. I've been in a very empty dome several times in my life. Talk about bandwagon that's most of the current Saints fans.

Seriously - how do the Saints not make it in the Top 10?!
I'm just saying... we should be in the top 10 - easily...

Bandwagoners because in the early 90's you could run into an asshat at least once a day with a Cowturd hat or jersey on. Of course he could never explain how Barry Sanders put up equal or better numbers than Emmit Smith much less name a Cowpie other than Aikman, Irvin or the aforementioned Smith. Now these bandwagon sonsabitches are hiding under fricking rocks. I took the family to Orlando back in February and saw just about every sports jersey imaginable at Disneyworld. I cannot remember for the life of me seeing a Cowpie jersey at all.

as far as percentage over face value it's the Colts.
Seahawks were up there for a while as are the Saints.

Keep in mind the saints have never been to or won a SB since the creation of the team. It's safe to say that most of the other teams on that list have..it says alot, and i believe in the future when this team does finally win a SB, if you are bandwagon you know you are and if you have sat through seasons watching..you know what you have been though. Really though..what does anyone have to be bandwagon about?..not like the saints were ever a dynasty. That is what fanbase is all about, still passionate even though being let down every year since the 60's..

When about 1/4 to 1/2 of the people Louisiana are COWBOYS/TEXANS fans then that's why you don't get ranked.lol. I can go to different parts of Louisiana and you'll see people supporting other NFL teams over the Saints.

Yeah but the Chiefs also have the 4th largest radio network in the NFL covering 7 states while in one of the smaller markets with ANOTHER NFL team in the same state right down I-70 with 2 Super Bowl appearances within the last 10yrs.
Where do the Saints radio network rank? How many states and Affiliates do they have.lol. Once again the Cowboys and Texans are running into SAINTS territory in Louisiana. Not good.

sorry to say but cowboys=bandwagon. find anyone from new orleans, metarie or kenner. if their team is not the saints it is the cowboys, and they will proudly say it when the saints suck(most of the time).

Not talkin about pickin up something on WWL or whatever you call it on a clear night. Talking about LOCAL radio stations, affiliates that have a contract with the team.lol.
Posted on 6/4/09 at 11:58 pm to Jaydeaux
Although loyal and colorful, Saints fans as a whole aren't as hardcore and diehard as northern teams. College football dominates the South.

WWL is the official radio station of the Saints seeing as how they are based out of New Orleans...doesn't get more LOCAL than that.

If someone is born and raised in Louisiana, and is a Cowbitch fan over the Saints, that person should take anal penetration by an aids infested silverback. Just sayin...
