The Bears are hoping to play the host Tigers — the national No. 3 seed — at some point, knowing they’ll likely have to get past them to advance to the Super Regional round.

And they’re actually eager to get an earful from the LSU faithful.

“They didn’t try to beat you down with their commentary,” Smith said, recalling his memories of the LSU fans from Baylor’s last trip to Baton Rouge in 2003. “They’re educated fans, and they’ve been around a long time and have seen good baseball. They know what it looks like, and if it’s wearing the other color jersey, then so be it.” So they’re not rowdy?

“Oh, they’ve got some of them too,” Smith said, chuckling. “They like their beverages.”

All I remember from the last game is that they went through four pitchers in one inning. The bullpen bullies were hardcore tigerbaiting them all as they warmed up and they were mush by the time they reached the mound.

That's an annual occurrence.

The 1st game against them was RIDICULOUS. Basically everyone in the stands below Coon's Corner brought in alcohol and were drinking freely. It was a sight to behold.

Wasn't that the team with Craig Reynolds kid and Dale Murphy's kid? I know we lost the first game and had to come back in the second late to win and then won the third game.
