shot in game 2 is probably the best shot in Playoff History

it cant be the best shot ever because it was in a non decisive eastern conference final game. it will be rendered only more meaningless when orlando goes to the finals.
awesome clutch shot, yes
greatest playoff shot ever, no

I think Birds steal and assist to DJ against the Pistons was better than that.

Eddie Johnson had a better shot.

Who exactly is this ESPN character? I heard Bayless say that it was the most overrated shot ever.

Was it an awesome shot? Yes. Was it epic, probably not because the game wasn't a series clenching game.
To this day, I just don't understand this phase everyone in the media is going through where they feel the need to name everything "the best ever". Why can't we just (no pun intended) be witnesses to awesome moments in sports. Each era has it's great moments, take them for what they're worth.

I agree. Great shot but being in game 2 of a conference finals DQ's it from being greatest shot ever.

If they lose the series, there will be several Conference Finals game winners that were better...
-Sampson series winner in '86
-Stockton series winner in '97
-Elliot game winner in '99
-Horry game winner in '02
These guys lost the series, but at least in went 7...
-Reggie Miller game winner in '98
-Rik Smits game winner in '95
Just to name a few

It's just ESPN and a lot of society today. We see it during college football season as well. They always say that what happend today is better than what happened yesterday because it happened today.
