Does anyone like ESPN?

Or am I in the minority of sports fans that do like the 24 hour sports network? And if you hate it so much what would you change? We already know that no one on here seems to like them the majority of their stories on the biggest topics or the teams that draw the most ratings (why a TV network would do this is beyond me) So what else should they change?

My biggest problem honestly is the lack of variety with the nationaly televised baseball games, with that being said i think its pretty good.

I think the 6PM EST and 11PM EST Sportscenters are great.
I think PTI is solid. I think their broadcast quality of MNF and NBA and NCAA games are great.
It's just that some of their personalities and created ideas such as "Who's More Now" are contrived to the point of being painful.
But to be fair they've gotten rid of Salisbury, Steven A Smith, etc.

There's always FoxSports.

I like ESPN, but I realize that most of the people on there are terrible. So I take it for what it is worth. Gotta watch the games, and they are usually on ESPN.

the only people that "dislike" it or find something wrong with it are the ones that watch it 24 hours a day

My only complaint about ESPN is they beat the shite out of topics until you're forced to change the channel. Their college football and basketball coverage for example is terrific IMO (except during heisman discussions)
EDIT: SportsCenter IS absolute shite. Particularly the 6pm edition which is the one I usually watch due to nothing else being on.

I hate their debate shows and I don't like their coverage of the NBA and MNF. It's all so cheesy.
And on Sportscenter they over-sensationalize too many stories, but then again, that's what the media does.
Their college football and basketball coverage I do like though. They've been doing it right for years.

I wouldn't have any problem with ESPN's NBA coverage if TNT's wasn't so solid.

I somewhat agree, but they are trying to get ratings and quite frankly the Mariners vs Royals are not going to draw interest. Besides it's so easy to watch any game you want now that this is pretty much a non issue for me

That's not why I hate ESPN. I hate them because they show shite like poker and strongest man as fillers when there are other sports options. I hate that the quality of their reporting has gone way down hill and they spend more time on human interest nonsense. I hate that the quality of their productions have gone way downhill in recent years, including botching scores on the tickers, and other things that any mass comm major would not let slide. I hate that their on-air personalities are either caricatures or just plain dull.
Do you want more reasons? I've got more reasons.

Sadly, I disagree.
It's simply amazing to watch how they take analysts (Herbstriet) with obvious allegiances to their home schools and force them to bandwagon schools like USC.

yea if i could get extra innings on my tv in hd i would be happy

I will say this, MLB Tonight >>>>>> Baseball Tonight. ESPN lost a lot of airtime on my TV because of this.
This in no way means I hate ESPN, though.

That's the thing. I used to watch it constantly, but now I just can't stand to watch it. Even the website is going downhill.
This actually makes me sad.
