I always hear/read from his defenders that he scores so many points in the playoffs but his teams lose and its not his fault. I have a different theory. I think that McGrady IS the reason. Why? Because playoff basketball is about team chemistry and unity. Jordan only won when the team had great chemistry and not just him scoring 30 points a game.

The rockets are better without McGrady because they get more team play than with him. The only reason they are playing better without Yao is that the up and down style of play helps them against the Lakers matchup-wise.

What are your opinions?

This makes McGrady look bad... Rockets winning going past first round, possible second round.

I wonder if McGrady will be on the trading block in a couple of months.

my opinion is that you are an idiot. t-mac's TEAMS didnt get out of the first round. mcgrady is one of the best playoff performers of all time statistically.

I wonder if Morey would trade T-Mac away for very little in return, just to get rid of his contract.

There would definitely have been some takers a few years ago, but with the current economic conditions, I think it will be a lot tougher to get rid of him, even if the Rockets are asking for very little in return.

Dude, you are the friggin idiot. Scoring doesn't mean shite if it kills team chemistry. The reason the Rockets are playing now is that they have to rely on chemistry and heart. These are two things McGrady doesn't have. Playoffs are about team wins not scoring titles. Again, if you focus on getting yours (McGrady) and not on getting the W with the team, then you are going to lose.

well his contract ends after next year, so there wouldn't be much of a reason to get rid of him for nothing. he can come back next year and play well..remember, he'll be wanting to get paid in 2010.

mcgrady doesn't 'kill chemistry' and if you watch the rockets play all year long you'd know that... mcgrady kills chemistry far less than artest does and nobody is making that complaint about ronnie.

the only place where mcgrady hurts houston is that when he's on the floor, the defense isn't as good as it is with battie and artest out there together...but the chemistry argument is BS...where was the chemistry argument when he lead houston to 10 or 11 straight wins last year when yao was out?

bob, you are just a typical non-educated casual sports fan. tmac has never played on a team this talented. he has had no choice but to carry all of his teams in the past. when he first got to houston, bobby fricking sura was the third option behing tmac and yao. last year, it was rafer alston, and he missed two games against utah. i know bashing him is the cool thing to do for you tards, but he will be a great asset next year.

McGrady only effects game by scoring, Artest does so much more with defense...

Could that be one of reasons?
McGrady was very good in Orlando/Toronto but have injuries caught up with him?

i love this. despite tracy being one of the best playoff performers ever, he kills team chemistry. yao obviously kills team chemistry too. so does mutombo.

u are dumb as frick

It would have been cool to have seen what the Rockets could have done last year after they won 9 in a row and Yao went out, but T mac had to take over and kill their chemestry... Oh wait

yea really...this team was never healthy this year, they only played a handful of games with tmac, artest, and yao..not exactly enough time for any team to gel.
