What will our defensive line look like in 2010 assuming our juniors come back for their senior season. I am just curious to see what our depth at the d-line looks like, mainly at the tackle position.
I know we picked up Downs, Hicks and Davenport at tackle but do you think they will be ready in 2010?

Way ready.

eta: LSU is 700–383–47 ... it's good to bust 700

Alem, Woods, Nevis, Levingston

Clement, Hicks, Hagans, Aghyere

There's your two-deep. Downs or Davenport could win a spot on the second team, but its not like we absolutely need them this year. I'd rather they redshirt.

He said 2010 DL, not 2009.

My bad. Obviously missed that.

So let's see....in 2010 Woods will be gone and Alem will be gone.

Hicks replaces Woods for his senior year and Clement steps into Alem's spot. Davenport and Downs are second-teamers as RSFR.....will replace Hicks and Nevis in 2011.

sounds like we may need to pick up a couple d-linemen this year. Seems like we may be kind of thin next year at dline.

true...but don't we need to do that every year? Balanced recruiting is the key to long term success. With Miles and Chavis running the show we should continue to trot out solid, if not spectacular, offensive and defensive lines year in, year out. They are the basis for a winning program.
