Saw it today, didn't know you had to be gay to be a comic book fan.... good thing I didn't get that mutant gene.

Enjoyed the movie

How's the storyline? Is the movie just an excuse to show mutant fights with great CGI?

How does it compare to the other X Men movies?

no I hope you don't get that gene either, just a reference I'm making to Hugh being in tight clothes and them zooming in on his muscles.

I enjoyed it, but then, I went in with no expectations. I think I'll make that my strategy for every movie I see. It seems to work pretty well.

In short, not life-changing, but entertaining.

was entertaining,i seen at 12:00 midnite there was a guy there with ducktape claws. was crazy but he did look like wolvie. the movie is made to tell a story some of use are not going to like but some of use will. me personally loved the movie story was nice sometimes it went all over the place but you can't put ever thing in movies about comics are you will be there for days.

Is the actual movie much different from leaked version?

I've been wondering if there really was a difference since it came out that they the leaked version and the new release are the exact same length.

I thought the movie was great, but then I was a X-Men and Batman comic nut all my childhood.

Gambit was pretty tight, i loved the new orleans scenes.

Exactly!! Gambit and Wade Wilson were the best parts of it!

Thank God they didn't make Gambit talk like "Dis and dat, c'est la vie blah blah blah".

The movie did its job. It entertained me for 2 hours. I liked it.

I enjoyed the movie. I put it above X1 and X3, but below X2.

The same movie that was leaked. A few tweaks here and there.

Depending on which Easter Egg that you get after the credits, the ending seems like less of a letdown.

I have no clue why they even have the bar one. Adds NOTHING whatsoever.

I agree with both of these. IMO X2 is the best comic book movie ever made.

i didn't think it was that great.

there are obviously scenes in there purely to put in the preview and not for the flow of the movie.

some of the shots they used were really silly too, made some of the action shots look comical.

mainly i ended up disappointed b/c the movie could have been really good, but it wasn't.

my memory of the real story is fuzzy, but did anyone else think it strayed a bit from xmen canon about wolverine?

I had several criticisms:

1. Victor Creed looked retarded every time he began his pursuit of his prey. I don't know why they always slowed down his pursuit on all 4s.

2. They introduced a lot of characters, but it was typically a very shitty introduction. It was like they had cameos for certain characters and then they were gone.

Spoiler Below

3. Wade/Deadpool should have had more screen time. The ending with Deadpool was kind of stupid to me.

He must have forgotten about those movies, or forgot they were based on comic books.

Even still, the Spiderman movies were better than the XMen movies

+1

SPOILER (sort of)

There may be a reason he was only in the film a short time.

Apparently, ryan reynolds had been trying to get a deadpool movie made for a while. Supposedly they just gave him the cameo in the movie kind of to honor his effort. If this movie does well (which so far it has) he's supposedly going to be given the green light to make a movie about deadpool's origin story.
