Is there anyone more typecast? He started out in Dazed and Confused, did some respectable movies, like U-571, and then just started doing the "Man Who Won't Commit Who Falls in Love" move of the month drivel.
I think he jumped the shark with Reign of Fire.
But Texas loves him. He has a box at UT's stadium, and the fans go ape-shite when they put his drunk arse up on the screen.

They must love his arse down in Texas, He was on an episode of King of the Hill. I could recognize that voice of his from anywhere.
