Some guys' takedown offense is just too good to stop (i.e. Lesnar) if you're not far away and time the block perfectly.

I picked it up the other day. I was into career mode 8-1 through 9 fights when I scheduled a fight against Rua. I hadn't spent much on takedown defense or ground defense. Rua shot in, got the takedown, gnp'd me until my mouthpiece came out and the ref stopped the fight. It was over in less than a minute.

For those having trouble with subs check this out. A THQ guy posted on a forum saying that if your strength is higher than your sub offense, then you should mash the face buttons. But if your sub offense is higher than your strength, you should rotate the R-stick.

Don't press L1. You have to let him posture up then rotate the R stick without holding L1 and you will push him off with your feet.
From what I can tell if you're in open guard and transition pressing L1, there's no way to get back to standing.

HOF finally!
I suggest getting ground grapple defense up to 70 as quick as you can. if you can knock out people fairly easy then get that and takedown defense up. Once GGD is up to that point you can get off the ground fairly easy.

Does anyone know what qualifies you for the HOF. My guy was retired at 30-4 and champion. Also won last 16 fights.
