Ok...$40 per person. Can any one who has previously gone or "in the know" help me out.

Does this include alcohol?
Any entertainment i.e. music?

thx in advance

last year that included all you can drink keg beer and soft drinks. It was supposed to include three trays of crawfish, but they ran out at two.

If you're a member I believe its only $30. Not to bad for a full evening of fun! Geaux Tigers!

Yeah $40 for non-members seems steep, "that's Dallas", the Houston one is only $25 for non-members but I doubt it includes drinks.

Thanks for the info.

True, but I would think they would make the trip over to Louisiana and buy crawfish directly from a crawfisherman.

I'm guessing they are getting 30+ sacks plus 6-7 kegs and having it catered.

the money goes towards a Top 100 scholarship. so it may be more than Herstin but all the margin fuels a scholarship for DFW kids wanting to be little tigers [out of state fees]. if i am not mistaken the chapter is endowing their 4th Top 100 scholarship which is very impressive. it is a donation of sorts. support it man. come pass a good time. there are beginning to be more and more LSU grads in the area. i was at a restaurant the other night in Dallas and sitting next to an entire table of Chi Omega LSU grads [in their early 20's]. it is great to be spreading the LSU nation.

Great questions about our 30th Annual LSU Crawfish Boil. Thought you'd like to have a few insights. First of all, there are just under 2 tons of LA crawfish coming to Dallas on Sat. as well as 30 kegs of beer! (Where did any LA homebody get the idea that 6-7 kegs would satify 625 people as we had last year?)

Families are invited as kids mels are served also and that eliminates the strippers! (Sorry!)

Proceeds from the carwfish boil and silent auction go toward LSUAA scholarships for DFW students. Last year was an exception. We donated the silent auction proceeds to the LSU Band Hall Project. So this year we are making up for the $8150 that would have gone to our scholarships.

Although early bird table discounts have now expired, individual tickets for crawfish or jambalaya are still available and will be available at the door. Beer only tickets also.

Annual membership in our Dallas chapter is only $25 and of that amt., $20 goes to scholarships. Taken along with the crawfish boil, our fundraising has helped us endow our 3rd Top 100 Scholarship. We begin our 4th with this boil.

For those who have inquired about the LSU specialty license plates, we have sold 1640 sets of our 1900 goal. So if you want to help us obtain our $8000 deposit from TxDept. of Transportation, go to our website, www.lsualumnidallas.com, and click on the license plate picture. Our campaign story and link to order from TDoT can be found there. Your support helps further LSU throughtout Texas.

Come join us on Saturday in Mesquite at Double D Ranch. Directions are also available on the home page of our website.
