How many of you have coached baseball at a high level before

....exactly, thought so.
Look at what Paul Mainieri has done in his career as a head coach..it more than deserves giving him the benefit of the doubt for moves he makes. This team is Number 2 in the country, and will probably be 1st in the SEC within a week or 2. We have already proven ourselves this year (UGA,SC), sure we arent winning every game and we do make mistakes...but if u stop for a second and look at the rest of the country...so is everyone else! We need to improve, yes, but people coming on here TELLING all of us what we need to do, and how many mistakes Mainieri has made are a complete joke.
Just a little venting....Bama sucks, Geaux Tigers!

+1!
I'll also add that while we are losing it over losing ONE game to Bama (with Coleman on the mound today), Arkansas is in the process of having lost two in a row to Vandy at Baum Field. We're going to be just fine. Oh, and Happy Easter everyone!

Hmm I think its pretty much a draw between people that belive that coach can make no mistakes and those that think that they know more.
I tend to think he is a great coach that does make some dumb mistakes but makes more good decisions than bad making him a good coach.

BTW I do firmly believe I would make a better 3B coach than Sanchez. Considering I dont see how anyone with a slight education in baseball could do worse at directing the runners.

It's the same group that knows more than our two national championship head football coaches, our men'sFinal Four basketball coach, our four time women's Final Four coach, our two Hall of Fame women's basketball coaches, and our ultra successful women's softball coach.
Time to create statues of each of them outside of the PMAC, Tiger Stadium, Alex Box and Tiger Park.

So what you're saying is only collegiate baseball coaches are allowed to observe, evaluate, and voice opinions on other collegiate baseball coaches?

Thats fine...like saying "I think they should work on....w/e"
Thats not what goes on and everyone here knows that. Look Mainieri is in the position he's in b/c he can take public criticism so by all means go for it, just trying to help some people look less like a complete arse of themselves...but yeah go for it

I agree 100%! Similarly, I also believe that only former U.S. Presidents can criticize the President, only former television personalities can criticize ESPN anchors, and only former athletes at a certain level can criticize current athletes at that level (i.e. if you weren't an SEC QB you can't even say Jarrett Lee's name).

Look as I said before, if you really believe you know more than Paul Maineri who has been doing this for like over 20 years, and doing a damn good job of it, then go ahead and let us all know how he should be doing things differently since you obviously are more qualified to decide
Just know that your criticism doesnt mean jack shite and isnt worth a damn thing

What do you think the purpose of a discussion board should be? To discuss the good and bad parts of LSU sports and ways we could get better and achieve all the great things that we would love for our teams, or a 24/7 circle jerk?

Ok so don't you ever criticize a musician, actor, movie, restaurant, city/civil planning or road placement, etc.
Don't ever criticize or have an opinion on anything you haven't done, because you've never sang for a nationally touring act, you've never been a professional chef, you've never been a Hollywood star, and you've never been a civil engineer.
See how ridiculous that sounds?

Who is worse? The college kids talking smack, or a grown man that calls them names on a message board?
Speaking of immature...

Someone once told me: when in Rome, do as the Romans.
Sorry, but cricizing LSU coaches, who are experts in their profession, is not somthing that makes me feel superior.
I fully realize Marineri is the expert, and I am the amature fan. Do you think that might be a sign of maturity, if so, I plead guilty as charged.

The PBP thread is becoming a joke with all the whining and name calling.
Coming into this season pitching was a question mark.
Considering LSU's record I'd say they are doing more with less than last year.
These are the same people that called for Mainieri's head and called the players every name imaginable.
Classless losers with no lives that try to live through the accomplishments of others (aka Bandwagon Fans).
Considering LSU didnt make a run until the middle of the season last year they have already given up on them, which is truly sad.
Heres to you fairweather fans, please drink until you are unable to work your computers.

This thread has nothing to do with Brady, but the theme of criticizing LSU coaches is a consistent one on the RANT.
The clueless never get tired of pretending to know more about college coaching than the professionals.
Immature college geeks, don't you love'm

If you can't handle the heat of coaching don't do it. Ask any little league coach.
But pointing out the obvious is a way of venting, when you keep seeing the same misstakes why not vent on a board like this??
I also pointed out things denardo, and brady were doing wrong, maybe all coaches should look at these type of boards...
