Texas A&M is building a nice little pipeline into Shreveport.

Months after Byrd linebacker Jonathan Stewart inked a national letter of intent with the Aggies, coach Mike Sherman's squad picked up a verbal commitment from rising Evangel senior defensive lineman Brandon Jackson on Wednesday.

Can anyone who has attended an Evangel game in the last two years give a quick rundown on Jackson as a recruit? Has LSU ever had him on their radar?

Thank you for the insightful post.

I have never heard of him.
you know aggy is spinning this: "sherm knows OL"
aggy is so fricking retarded. they should improve their pecking order in TX and get UT's leftovers-- not come to LA and get LSU leftovers. TX has enough BCS caliber players to support every school instate and most of the bigXII... louisiana? not so much

OH NO! The end is coming!

So they're building a pipeline with Shreveport guys that don't have LSU offers while allowing LSU, Texas, and OU to literally take anyone they want from them in their actual own state of Texas.

TAMU could be a national power if they did that but they never seem to do it consistently. Every now and then they will be great but then a year later and they are the suck. They are the big 12 version of Ole Miss.
And i try my best to be on top of recruiting, especially the southern prospects and i have never heard of this guy. Anybody with any info?

I think Arkansas is recruiting this guy also.

Eric Alexander? Picked by many as the POY in La.
More kids have done better from many La. Schools. Breaux Bridge, WM, Leesville, Ruston, John Curtis, Catholic BR., are a few that come to mind. Many have not made the moved well from high school to college. Even more may be the move from college to the Pros.

Chase Pittman started for us
they have a DL in the NFL on the Colts...Dawson
Phillip Geiggar was a starter at Texas

Didn't live up to hype although still pretty good.

...and was largely ineffective

was really good and overachieved based upon expectations as a recruit.
He said that MANY have excelled out of state. I don't see that as being "many" and I don't see that as "excelling". Not to mention...do you have any more examples, and spare me with the Jonathan Wade and the Richard (can't remember his last name...wr that played for Arkansas) argument.

the guy said Hester was the only one that did anything worthwhile, and that is just false.
How is making it to the NFL not worthwhile(Booty, Dawson, Wade)?
Richard Wilson was a good college player as well

then you need to go back to school and take some vocab classes.
that is indeed "many", compared to other schools
and it is indeed "excelling" when you have a good college career and play in the NFL.

It's Richard Smith.

I was responding to the guy that said many have excelled out of state.

What other schools jackass, Sarah Reed?
Evangel is a football school only. Compare what they've turned out to other football schools. For the high school talent that they have, it isn't "many".

Wade had a good college career....really?
Geigger...hmmm
Richard Smith???
Maybe you and I can just agree to disagree on what a good college career is defined as. I'd call those three decent at best.
Wade was drafted for pure speed alone, not college contributions.

The point was made that Hester was the only player to succeed from this school, several other shave been mentioned but you could also throw Johnathan Wade from Tennessee, Brock Berlin...Miami and the kid who played wideout about 4-5 years ago who's name escapes me at the moment. They have produced more than Hester.
