I would love for Tiger to win, But I think if I were a betting man I would take the field. Hope I lose.

He just scares me, In his interviews he seems as confident as he's ever been...

Given that bet, I would take the Field every day of the week and twice on Sunday

It's really stupid to bet against Tiger, but if it's either him or the field, and you were betting real money, you'd have to take the field. I'm not betting money, so I'll take Tiger.

The field is the smart bet. I think Oglvie, Mickelson, Goosen, O'Hair, Watney and Els have a chance.

Kenny Perry by a stroke over Tiger
Why is Toms not in the field?

Wasn't tiger vs. The field an actual betting line in one of the major tournaments last year or the year before?

Its easy for anyone to shout out "the field" but don't dare ask them to pick out one to win it or even bet on one to beat tiger.

The Eric guy filling in on Tirico's show today had an interesting bet going. It's either Tiger and 3 other guys or the field. I don't catch who the other 3 were. but I am sure a couple were Hefty, and Weir.

In a major, is it really that bad of a bet?

Tiger is a mere $1 to make $1.60 favorite this Master's..would've been 2.5/1 or 3/1 before that comeback two weeks ago.
If you like him, wait until the Friday or Saturday to step in at possibly better odds, as he will not want to play himself out of the running before Sunday, thus expect someone else going more out aggressive, to lead Fri or Sat.
Tiger Woods has won 4 of his 14 Masters appearances(1st as Low Amateur his worst finish..2nd try missed Cut..3rd won it) as a professional. Do the math, at this unfair price, he is a bad bet, even if a somewhat overwhelming and deserving chalk.
Tiger's won 3 of the last 8 Master's, with a 1st, 3rd, 2nd, and 2nd in his last four Master's.
At that price, it makes much more sense to bet in Tiger head-to-head matchups laying 2.5 and 3/1 chalk vs Harrington and Mickelson, should you like him to excel this weekend.

Yes. If you take that bet every major, you would lose your arse. I am too lazy to do the math but how many majors has Tiger played in, 45?? How many has he won 14 ???
