Putting Ole Piss in front USC West is ridiculous! They may be ok, but won't win the NC, and no way they could beat USC!!

pretty much all ND has to do is beat USC at home and they are in the championship game.

LSU belongs on the list based on talent.
You need more than raw talent to win a NC. Until LSU proves me wrong, I'm staying firm that we are just outside the top 10.

With regards to ND:

Better still, they will be facing one of the softest schedules of any team in the country, especially one that doesn't need to worry about surviving a conference title game at the end of it all.

Must be nice to know that you are so well liked that you don't have to play anyone to be considered for the BCNCG. That's like college football welfare.

hate to be the one to say this, but #'s 2- 10 don't matter. There is no way Florida does not win the National Championship next year. I have nightmares about playing them next year.

You have to figure the winner of the SEC and Big 12 have the inside track. The only way those two winners are NOT in the BCS NC is if they have 2 loses and someone like Ohio State or USC is undefeated. Since Ohio State and USC play each other, that will knock one of those guys out.

Unfortunately Utah thumping of Saban and Bama gives some argument for the Football Sub-Division folks. I think an undefeated Boise State could go if all other teams have 2 loses.

I hope a Boise State DOES get a shot because if they get thier arse kicked, a Football Sub-Division team will never get another shot and if they do well or win, we will be heading for a playoff.

If the SEC/Big 12 winner has 1 loss, they will be behind an undefeated OSU or USC (whether right or wrong).

Since its impossible for both USC and OSU to be undefeated this year, it doesn't matter if they finish behind one undefeated team. #2 still gets into the MNC

Yeah, but (I think) the other poster was saying that if it came down to, say, 1 loss LSU and undefeated OSU, LSU would go, which isn't true.

When will these morons ever give up on the Irish?

When the money runs out.

Actually guys, LSU has a real shot if we can throw the football. Even if not this yr, and not overlooking any player on this team, but J Jefferson, R Shepard, and R Randell will wreak havoc for the next 3-4 yrs. Yes we have many more great talents to praise, but these 3 are tops, and will leave a LONG impression on LSU fans and college football period.
I believe we take 2 of the next 4 national titles.

Fair enough, but who would that be? I don't think any other BCS team has a good shot at going undefeated. Undefeated non-BCS teams don't really have a shot at the MNC. Who else would go undefeated? VT? WVU? Cincinnati? Miami? Probably someone is getting in with a loss.

I think we're miscommunicating. I'm saying, pretend Texas went undefeated, they'd be #1 for sure. Then you have an undefeated OSU and 1 loss LSU battling it out. The original poster made it sound like he thought LSU would get #2, when I think it would be the undefeated team. That's all. This isn't a prediction post (I HIGHLY doubt we're going undefeated this year), this is just a hypothetical.

I just wanted to point out one positive -- Ole Miss is ahead of Southern Cal.

Sure, that further demeans the worth of the list, but at the very least the Southern Cal lovefest is, for now, subsiding.
