Jarrett Lee completed a 25-yard touchdown pass to tight end DeAngelo Peterson at the beginning of the scrimmage, Miles said.

Lee also completed a 23-yard TD pass to Brandon LaFell

i think JL is turning the corner. Miles has to be impressed with whats he seen this spring from the young QB.

JL haters are having convulsions. Personally I think we have two very good QB's. Now with some experience with both we should be ready for the step up.

Good for JL. He can become even better when he watches how JJ plays when JJ is the starting q.b.
Practice aint the game and until he proves it during SEC games consistenly, he won't be the starter. I hope he is getting better 'cause there is nowhere to go but up for him.

I think it's great that Lee is having a good Spring. I won't feel as nervous if Jefferson gets hurt and Lee has to go in for a few plays.

Last year I just wanted JJ to get some PT in case Lee went down, and later in the year when Lee became ineffective. This is a totally different season and I could care less who is behind center, could be Al Gore for all I care. Wish the best to all 4 Qb's and glad we will have two that can play immediately. Not a luxury a lot of programs will have.

Don't give a rat sass who starts as long as its effective.

Like Roger the Shrubber said, I don't care who starts as long as they are effective.

I'm pulling for the kid. Either he can give up, and think that he really is not an SEC quarterback. (If he reads the rant he could be doomed). Or he could realize the potential some of us know he has.

We can't have a true JL thread unless the Doc shows up, where is he?

Guys,

I know JL catches a lot of crap around here, given what went on last season. Some of that is deserved.

However, I just want to keep putting this out:

There will come a time when we need Jarrett Lee. Even as Jefferson looks the starter, when was the last time we went an entire season with a QB 100% ? Anyway, I hope we all give him a chance to come in and show what he's learned and how he's improved (now that he isn't a freshman being thrown into the fire).

To me, it's great news that he's doing well in the spring. It gives us some 'cushion' should Jefferson have some struggles this year. I, for one, feel a LOT better about our QB situation this year as opposed to last... even if it isn't set in stone.

If JL is doing that well and JJ is the starting QB then there is going to be enormous pressure on JJ. Because one f up and he could lose the starting job. OTOH just think how good we'll be having two QBs.

Of the running backs, Miles said Richard Murphy (47 yards on six carries) and Charles Scott (20 yards on five attempts) fared well. And Miles said Williams (25 yards on seven carries) had an impressive run, possibly referring to the touchdown scoot.

that's the most intriguing paragraph to me

Lee is very talented noone can deny that and it just drives me crazy when the haters say "he cant read defenses and did not progress". He played a part of a season and in their eyes he is doomed because he did not become great in that small amount of time.

How can you think someone cant get better especially an 18-19 year old? Most of his haters could not even get orders right at Mcdonald's where they were working when they were his age. It just pisses me off when people throw dirt on a kid when they are clueless.

maybe we should be concerned about the defense if JL is performing this well.
