Just as an FYI, the Carnival ships (sounds like OP is on the Triumph) have crappy international satellite lineups. You may get major networks (CBS, FOX, ABC, etc) but don't expect ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. I had to keep up with the CWS using the pay-by-minute internet :banghead:

Then again, if you're a fan of soccer and tennis, enjoy.

Edit: I'd imagine you will be able to catch 870 AM long enough to hear the whole game (it takes a while to get out the river)
Does it really get jam packed super early? the game is so damn late... Like would 7:00 be early enough to secure a table for 4?

And because a friend wants to know, is the place kid-friendly enough (junior high) or is it more hard core bar that late? Thanks guys!
Guys,

I know JL catches a lot of crap around here, given what went on last season. Some of that is deserved.

However, I just want to keep putting this out:

There will come a time when we need Jarrett Lee. Even as Jefferson looks the starter, when was the last time we went an entire season with a QB 100% ? Anyway, I hope we all give him a chance to come in and show what he's learned and how he's improved (now that he isn't a freshman being thrown into the fire).

To me, it's great news that he's doing well in the spring. It gives us some 'cushion' should Jefferson have some struggles this year. I, for one, feel a LOT better about our QB situation this year as opposed to last... even if it isn't set in stone.
Miles/Crowton dynamic aside, I think I've seen what he's getting at though:

Some games, you'd see a series where the offense is what I call 'all over the place' in a good way. Times when so many different playmakers are getting the ball in unpredictable ways, and the offense is moving at will. I remember saying 'man Crowton is unleashing his genious' and noticing how diverse the playcalling was. I think he is at his best when spreading the ball around the entire field. I wish I could point out specific drives, but I'm too lazy to go back and search. However, I think you guys have seen what I mean.

Then, in that very same game, we'd start to see more repeats of the generic run/pass plays going to only a couple ballcarriers. I don't know, it's hard to describe. Everything just goes a little more vanilla, with some of the more unique plays (that worked) never getting called again. And while we all like 'trick' plays on occasion, I'm not even talking about those.

There is some element of jekyl/hyde at work, but it's hard to put a finger on. There is no doubt he is capable of outstanding playcalling, we just wish we'd see it more regularly. Perhaps the quarterback situation had him a bit more handicapped last season - hopefully we'll see him in top form with a couple mobile quarterbacks at his disposal.

You know, I'm noticing a pattern with 'refuse to lose' LSU teams.

Football 2007

Baseball 2008

Basketball 2009

Me thinks it'll be football's turn next  (in uhhh.. '09)
at this point in time, I see it as:

1 : Jefferson
1a: Shepard (in a rotating run package setup, see RP '07)
2 : Lee (standard QB2, depending on how Shepard shakes out)
3 : Hatch (I like him, but doubtful to regain the reigns barring lots of injuries)
4 : Garrett (redshirt)

Now, obviously lots of things can change over the spring - but this is my best guess based on what we know now.

I agree too, that at some point, we will need Lee. The kid had a rough year, no doubt, but he's not done yet and I haven't given up on him. He showed he has the skills in flashes. As a pocket passer, he will get over the hump when he is able to consistently make defenses pay for stacking the box and blitzing. It's pretty clear he was thrown to the fire before having that capability. He may be a statue, but statues can be brilliant quarterbacks after the growing pains.
Even better, check out Monoprice

All you really need is 28 or 26 AWG in whatever length (usually 6' is plenty if your components are all together). Either way, you shouldn't have to spend more than $10 on a decent HDMI cable. Don't let anyone ever tell you that you need Monster or some $120 piece of crud that will look 99.999% identical. Do research on the internet and you will find Monoprice recommended almost universally for cables.

On the other hand, if you need it sooner than that - walmart may just be your best bet if you don't mind eating the extra 20 bucks or so.
Now do be fair - Flynn was also playing on a freshly bum ankle during that game and through the middle of the season. To me it made a very noticeable difference.
