With Reserve Christian closing, does anybody know where he will end up? Will the state make the players sit out a year if they go out of their district? I ask this because I have a source close to him that says it very well could be Archbishop Shaw High School.......

He would have to sit out a year if he goes out of district, but the former Reserve coach (Byrd) has been hired as AD/Hoops coach at Riverside which is in their district. So general thought is that most of the Reserve guys will go to Riverside and play immediately.
But to answer your question, no specific word on Gathers yet.

I ask because a classmate of mine plays on his AAU team and is saying Shaw is a possibility.

Maybe so. To be honest I'd be happy if he just stays in state and doesn't get pulled to a prep school out east.

id still like to see that rule in writing
im thinking if he goes to a private school, anywhere in the state, he wouldn't have to sit. Esp if the school is closing, id think they have to give him some type of pass if that is truly the rule

that was my guess that the state would give them all pases because of what happened

word in reserve and riverside is that he is going to riverside along with coach Byrd and the most of the other players

Can't wait for riverside academy basketball next year with all the talent coming in. Heard from one of my friends that already transfered from reserve Christian to riverside that some of the players want to play football as well as basketball

sophomore at shaw my source is saying Shaw is a serious possibility depending on eligiblity so we'll see whoever gets him is extremely fortunate guy could be a program changer

Vinson is at Newman. i did go to summer camp with him two years ago but other than that I have no connection to him. He did jump clear over my head in a MIDDLE school basketball game once, but he also let me swat his junk outta bounds! (yes I am a white guy)
