Another player we'll hear nothing about after his name is called on draft day.

I dont see whats funny... A 6'6" guard who can handle, sees the floor with the best, and can score. He'll go first round for sure.

he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. put yourself in his shoes, if your teeth looked like that, wouldn't you declare for the draft in the hopes of getting paid/insurance to fix them?

not a very hard decision imo.

Says he's not hiring an agent, so I suspect he'll be back at UF next year.

he sees the floor well sure

can score

in the nba? nah he wont score like he did in college, no way. he cant penetrate for shite, hes not a knock down shooter, and his height advantage that he used oh so well in college isn't going to be anywhere near as big in the nba.

so you have a tall pg who cant penetrate, can shoot ok, is a liability on defense, but hey he can pass.

he's good enough to get drafted in the 1st

he's not good enough to not get drafted if he stays in school for 2-3 more years

he's a good enough developmental project to gamble on from 15-30

if he stays, he better improve a shitload or he likely won't go until 50

he's a second rounder, he's gotta be the worst defender in the draft class. Who is he going to guard in the NBA??? if he's guarding guys like CP3, D williams, etc, he's gonna be a huge liability.

he doesn't strike me as an NBA player

I think he compares to Marko Jaric but Calathes has that weird set shot that he needs to fix

he's just in a bad spot

he can't really improve his draft stock, but his stock can pull a titanic

Does this cause Donovan to have second thoughts about the UK job? If I were Calipari, I'd sign that contract now.
