Heard that he gets his ACL fxed this Friday by one of the "team's surgeons." Also was reminded that Addai also had the same injury his sophomore year. What's good, I heard , is that he had no other knee damage in the freak accident. Many times there is a lot of damage to other parts of the joint and that makes recovery much harder.

Hitman, what's his prognosis? Obviously it depends on how well rehab goes, but is he expected to be close to 100% by fall? We may need him this year if Scott or Williams go down.

what's up with the quotes? And any chance he'll be back at all for the fall? I'm of the opinion that if he can come back at all--even if it's in November--he should do that instead of sitting out just to hopefully get a 6th year. 6th years are no good for RBs, especially ones who hope to play in the NFL.

Usually six months for ACL surg. if rehab goes well. However, often takes two seasons before truly comfortable (ie Charles Alexander)

Didn't see the question asked but I'm assuming he gets a medical redshirt?

I think 6 months is agressive but can be done, especailly if what someone stated is true about no other damage. I recall other players coming back in that amount of time. That puts him back in October. Could probably play the second half of the season.

If it's true that Dugas has a torn ACL, I would hope LSU abandons the FB position for 2009.

Because that would be 2 ACL's at FB already and we're not that far into spring practices.

FB for LSU is beginning to look like QB for Oregon.
