NCAA Bracket Point System

My husband and I have a disagreement about the point system for our brackets (we are playing against each other) I say we use a point system as I always have done at work in the past. Hubby thinks its wrong and that every win no matter what round gets a single point....What say you? Which is better?

It'd help to know what your point system is.

+1
The later the round the more points you get for a win.

FWIW, there should be an increased reward for each round. However, I don't like the doubled each round. Increase it, but not a lot.

1,2,4,6,8,12 is what we are using in the td.com bracket challenge..
1 point per win is pretty stupid.

it should go up every round.. but not the 1,2,4,8,16,32 crap... 1,2,4,7,10,12 is better... and my bracket actually gives 2 pts for picking a first round upset..

I'd say that's pretty much perfect.

Sometimes what I'll do with my friends is use both scoring systems with a single bracket/pool, and if there's a split (there usually isn't), use it to fuel pure hatred between myself and my adversaries.

The Fibonacci sequence scoring system is always fun.
1-2-3-5-8-13

Depends on if you want to really have fun. Seed times round makes everyone pick upsets and causes for some nice shite talking.
