Leave a note thanking them for "A sample of her family's Sunday dinner homecooking,", along with a container of shrimp creole or gumbo.

In the note, mention that if Louisianians did eat Alabama' famous and renowned Sunday dinner specialty, we would not use yellow mustard - thus proving the corn dog has no place in our state.

Great Idea!
Offender is a female. Even though the tampon thing is a great idea....it could ensue a lawsuit.
Yeah, I know. We just moved a month ago and this is my first time on TD in a long time.
My husband and I live and work in Tuscaloosa, AL and he received this "gift" from a co-worker (See image). Now that the gloves are off, do any of you have any ideas for us to retaliate with? They must be in good fun (boss is an offender). Thanks!

Note: Offender is female.

NCAA Bracket Point System

Posted by LSUFaninGeorgia on 3/17/09 at 9:36 pm
My husband and I have a disagreement about the point system for our brackets (we are playing against each other) I say we use a point system as I always have done at work in the past. Hubby thinks its wrong and that every win no matter what round gets a single point....What say you? Which is better?
I would have to say that "The Great Debaters" with Denzel Washington.
Pizza - Deano's or BJ's
Burgers - Southside or Judice

Thanks for any input.

He just gave me a call to pick him up at the hospital. I picked up the phone and he was screaming "I'm a free man!" haha.

Unfortunately my husband has a psychological fear of needles and the nurse's keep missing his veins. He almost had a panic attack when his IV blew out last night. Men can be such babies.

re: Shipped king cake

My husband and I were jumping for joy when we found a king cake at Kroger here in N.Atlanta. It was about just as good as any grocery store king cake back in Louisiana..still not a Randazzo's though.

Diverticulitis Diet

Posted by LSUFaninGeorgia on 2/20/09 at 12:20 pm
My husband (who is only 29) is currently on his 5th day in the hospital with a serious bout of Diverticulitis. He is one unhappy camper right now and at this moment is going to raise hell is the Doc does not release him today. Swearing that he will never go through this again is promising to change his eating habits. Any suggestions or recipes for a high fiber that still has a Louisiana flare to it?

My husband and I watched that show the other night and oh my god are those people on that boat a bunch of freaks...the fact that they would suggest that two crew members jump on board the Japanese whaling ship is just stupid. I knew they were a bunch of freaks in the first episode when they mentioned that all the meals were Vegan....
could be a bad move also....the builder could be fixing it half arse enough to pass inspection and rent it out, which in turn may lower your property value.
I thought Zaxby's in Athens, GA came before Guthrie's.....

Canes is better than Zaxby's in my opinion. Although, Zaxby's has a better menu selection.
My parents put our pool in when I was in High School and we swam a lot in it. Now that we are all out of the house, I think they use it more than we did...The neighbors too. Parents are always working in the yard and after they are done and everything is picked up, my dad does a cannon ball into the pool to cool off. Mom got into the water aerobics after she retired. Our golden retriever is in the pool every day.

Adding a pool does not add value to your home. It actually makes it take longer to sell. That is unless you have one of those magnificent pools you see on HGTV.

I would make sure you aesthetically put a fence around the pool to separate it from greenspace to protect kids and pets playing (there are codes for this too)But, if you don't intend to do it in the beginning, I would plan for the possibility of putting one in prior to selling if you ever plan to do so.

I used to maintain the pool in H.S. and its really not that tough. The hardest part is skimming the leaves in the fall. The mechanical pool cleaners (polaris) does all the tough work really. Plus, if you take a water sample into the pool shop, they will run the tests for you and give you exactly what you need to add to the water to adjust the pH levels. When your kid gets to the teen years, make it their chore to keep the pool clean and you are free and clear till they move out. That was my chore.
