a lot of them will, but LSUs guys are in the 40's and lower, so when you factor in the college, juco and HS guys ahead of them, there probably isn't too much to worry about with regards to where they get drafted. Also, teams may not be offering quite as much this year as they have in the past.

Well, he could've said 2x, which would be a lot worse...

How did LSU lose out on the BR kid to Tulane?

It could be any number of things:
-class sizes have to be smaller with the roster limits
-wasn't a position of need
-baseball recruiting isn't as cutthroat as basketball and football (though it's getting there), if Tulane offered him earlier than LSU and he committed, they probably backed off. It happens like that a lot in baseball.
the kid is an infielder though, and we signed 4 or 5 in the last class so he probably just wasn't a priority.

I was about to and thought that A.Raunado times 2 is a david Price.
so you're saying:
1)David Price
2)Von Rosenburg
3)Anthony Ranaudo
Not exactly how I would rank them, but hey, to each his own.

Let's see I'll go with the guy about to be in a major league rotation first.
Then the guy who is a friday night starter in the SEC.
Lastly, I'll throw in the high school senior.
quote:that has never been a stipulation in this thread thus far, but I will stand by my original rankings, since the only person guaranteed to have played in the majors by that time is David Price.
According to what they will be like in 5-10 years.

Anthony Ranaudo was never a top 100 caliber player out of HS. He was expected to be doing what he is doing now as a starter. ZVR is a top 50 caliber player that will pown nubs if he comes to LSU. He will start on the weekends and punt on the baseball team.
Nothing against A.Ranaudo, but ZVR will be one of the better pitchers to come to LSU in a while if he does come.

he'll punt on the baseball team, huh?
You need to wipe off a little of that ZVR cum off your chin. It's becoming a little obvious that it's there.

ZVR will have to check his ego at the door is he's going to do well at the next level

Raunado is pretty special we haven't had someone with that kind of stuff in years. I don't know where his ranking was in high school but I know he was thought of as a top guy. He could have gone pro out of high school and a high draft pick if he wanted too. I find it hard to give a high school kid that much credit right now.
