Why does ESPN hate LSU

Alright I'm set out to find out why everybody on here thinks ESPN hates LSU. It seems like everything that ESPN puts out about us the response is ESPN hates us. So I would like to hear the reasoning behind this ever-so-popular response on TD.com

LSU fricked espns girlfriend ever since then they mean mug LSU when they see us in the scrip club. one day we will make it rain on espn

Actually, I think ESPN gives LSU very favorable treatment.

I'm not trying to be an arse, but FWIW this topic - in some form or another - is on the Rant just about everyday.
ESPN does not hate LSU. LSU fans are just paranoid and not objective, hence the term LSU fan.

It's because I see this statement everyday that I wanted to put this as a topic b/c everybody says ESPN hates LSU and nobody every backs up there statement and I just want one person to justify why they think ESPN hate LSU

This ESPN deal is nothing more than a piss-arse excuse for anything, which is why I posted it to begin with. However, ESPN does prefer USuC over LSU.

its just that the announcers are biased toward certain teams and conferences and not until 07 and this yr were we ever really talked about. last season it pretty much gave espn the fact that they could say "i told you so", lsu and les miles suck.

People say this mostly as a joke now... mostly... though a few seriously think this. Very honestly, they do not hate LSU. This whole ESPN hates us thing grew legs around 2003-2004 when LSU football was fresh off the national championship, but was not a media darling. Almost every time college football was discussed on ESPN, it was about how great USC was, or Ohio State, etc. LSU fans, wanting to bask in the glory of the NC wanted to hear more about the Tigers, and anything short of declaring us the best team was a disappointment. Since that time, there has been a growing murmur that ESPN hates LSU every time fans turn to ESPN looking to see if the Tigers highlights will be shown, or if they will be discussed on Gameday, etc. When that validation from the media does not meet expectations, the myth is perpetuated.
I have looked to ESPN just as many fans do, and have occasionally been disappointed with the coverage, but IMHO they don't ignore LSU and frequently speak very highly of the various sports teams. As I said to start, a lot of people who say this now are saying it sarcastically, though their sarcasm is based on the few who do think LSU is snubbed.

yeah and this, i dont think rational people believe espn is out to get lsu, if anything i hate cbs more, cant stand watching us play on that channel.

Unless your watchin a raycom show, every network pretty much takes USC over LSU. Not just ESPN.
