we had a team full of FR last year

you dont think they improve?

specficially DJ, Gibbs, and Leon?

they should all double their HR totals of a year ago with ease

Players IMPROVE. It's what they are supposed to do. LeMaheiu, Landry, Schimpf, Dean, and probably Gibbs will all hit at least 8.

last time i checked, 8.5 > 5 (Leon's total from last season)

i agree that Gibbs can double his total by hitting 4 HR, but DJ and Leon to go double digit is tougher than you are giving it credit for

did you happen see both balls DJ hit tonight and the one Leon hit?

come on. The 2nd one DJ hit was a bomb, and Leon's prob went over 400 ft

both have nice HR potential.

LeMaheiu 2 HRs tonight
Landary 1 HR
Dean batted .304 tonight

But Gibbs has struck out 7 times in a week Needs to put some Overtime in the batting Cage.

1.) This isn't last season
2.) I'm standing by my prediction that we'll have 6 players with double digit HRs this year
3.) Obviously, I'm taking the over (way over).

Gimme over for the limits.

I'd make it more like 12 to 15. Had pop in his bat late last year. MVP of summer league with league leading doubles. Already at 3 vs lower competition this year. Has plenty of midweek games left, looks knotted up, relaxed, and if LSU's lineup keeps mashing all year..LL may get plenty of ABs with empty bags..and swing away?

Hope he doesn't force anything though, as Doubles and getting on, is his game, and meal-ticket to MLB.

LL may be built like Ron Gant and J-Roll, but his game isn't in swinging for the fences. Lacing lasers wherever they go and getting those wheels rolling are.

Dean- 22
Landry- 13
DJ- 13
Schimpf- 14
Ochinko- 11

It will be interesting to see how many Jones and Mitchell pick up. Do we have a big bat currently on the bench that might come in and hit a few?
