I'm assuming they meant "not" instead of "now", but doesn't this misprint change the meaning of this sentence just a bit?

Yeah, I had to re-read it a couple of times and assumed the same thing. It was the kind of statement that will certainly cause some confusion early in the morning.

God knows I'm not perfect, but come on....that's just not doing your job! They should at least correct the online version!

spell check doesn't catch misused words, so unless there's a proofreader (or the writer). When you read and reread something over and over, you miss things. A fresh pair of eyes would do every newsperson good.
