With the draft picks they got from Seattle (132 and 172) the Saints selected Jeremiah Wright and Lorenzo Styles Jr.

Need to also consider trading Sheed also opened up the spot for Tyson.

Bryce Lance is more of the sheed replacement pick.

In addition to the two players we drafted, we also saved enough money to sign David Edwards, the best OG on the market. He and Shaheed both got $20 million signing bonus, Edwards actually less per year.

I don't think so. It's Barion Brown, IMO.

I loved Shaheed.

But, I wasn't paying him 51M for 3 years. So, you have to move on.

I meant Tyson replaces Sheed in the starting lineup, not replaces the things he can do. I loved Sheed, but he was usually invisible for 3 out of every 4 games.

In fairness, Shaheed was a developing player (as a WR) and had to play with poor QBs. I think there's upside to his WR game. I would have loved to have him on this roster...but not at the price he was going to get.

It is what it is.
