What insight can anyone here possibly offer beyond what has already been said? Everyone knows Patel likes to drink beer. We have known this for a long time. Long before this story broke and long before him celebrating with the hockey team. The Atlantic made it sound problematic. He denies that. People who worked with him also deny that. The Atlantic says they have corroborating evidence.
What more is there to say? See ya in court, I suppose.

There is nothing illegal or even wrong with the guy drinking beers. The Atlantic is going to have to prove that his beer drinking is somehow problematic while his defense points to the record setting stats the FBI can tout under his leadership.

The comment about Rebel is superfluous because he’s dumb and doesn’t understand litigation and leverage. It was low-hanging fruit that he sells booze and that’s germane to this story.
But the stuff about Kash and the reporter is legit. It’s a high bar already as he’s a public figure but if others are offering corroboration of the claims, discovery won’t be great for Kash.

You realize that the guy he shared an office with for the past year says he would go into work at 5am and Kash would already be there working out, right? And that they have overseen the lowest murder rate in over 100 years while he has headed the FBI. These things are going to make it pretty hard to convince anyone his drinking is problematic.
