Going to be in Bar Harbor late May.
Anyone gone to Schoonid Penisula?
Ferry won't be open and it appears to be an hour drive.
Wondering if it's worth visiting?

Mrs Schoodic might have something to say about your infatuation with that “penisula”.

We went to Bar Harbor last June, Schoonid was on our list but never made it. If it’s an hour each way, and unless you have more than a week, there’s enough to do just in the park and nearby, in my opinion.

We went to Acadia about 10 years ago; spent 4-5 days in the main park and surrounding areas. We loved it. Two years ago we were heading to Newfoundland and stopped over at the Schoodic Peninsula. It’s nice but underwhelming compared to the main Acadia Park. Just my opinion.
