Did anyone run today? Was a thunderstorm driving into campus from New Orleans but the rain stopped at gun time.
The cold and light drizzle felt great. Felt like they had a few hundred less this year than last year. Course was great. I only ran the 5k.
Hearing your name on the Tiger Stadium speakers as you run across the 50 yard line is a pretty cool memory!

Did it this morning with my nephew. Rain stopped right at race time. Drove in from Metairie and the weather was crap on the commute.
Beer lines at after party weren’t long with the cold wind blowing.
Finished the 10k surprisingly well. Haven’t been able to train much with some ankle issues so didn’t quite know how it would go. Once I got in a pack the adrenaline kicked in and was able to knock it out. Not bad for turning 49 earlier in the week. Sure I will feel it tomorrow.
Overall cool experience.

58:16, 10k which I was very happy since I haven’t ran much since the LA quarter.

I keep skipping it. I just dont feel like driving in that early.
