It’s absolutely awful, woke, and I’m fairly confident 50% AI.
But I am entertained. 90s nostalgia through the roof. Love it.

How is American Gladiators woke?

On the first episode every contestant was black or Hispanic. Second episode had 2 white women and another black and Hispanic guy.
On the men’s side:
35% of the country had 0% representation.
6% of the population had 75% representation.
On the men’s side:
35% of the country had 0% representation.
6% of the population had 75% representation.

You must be really upset and the outsized minority representation in CFB, the NFL, and MLB.
Enjoy it for what it is. There is at least one game in there that seemed mostly useless (run across the bridge while the gladiators swing from above and try to knock you down.)
And ain't nothing wrong with Dani Speegle's legs, either.

The dudes are actually getting destroyed when the gladiators get to them. The gladiators are not holding back to create highlights and cause the contestants to re-think their choices.

I was asked what made it woke. I said that it has high overrepresentation of minorities.
Then I said I liked it.
You can point out that something is done for political purposes but still enjoy the product.

It’s ok to call things woke. I’m not triggered, I continued watching, not even hate watching. Saying something is woke doesn’t mean I hate it or it’s evil. I actually tend to avoid calling things that.

Just watched the first episode. Didn't see an issue with it. I mean you have to be looking for something to be upset about if you didn't enjoy it.

I watched the first episode because of this thread. They were not fricking around in powerball, men and women.
I'm gonna watch more, but everyone screaming constantly is aggravating to me.
I do want to see if they do assault. That was my favorite growing up.
