Swallowswell is merely another example of what's destroying this constitutional republic.

Would you be surprised if there were dozens of Swallowswell types currently serving in Congress? Of course you wouldn't. And that's the problem, we're numb to it, we've been conditioned to accept this BS as normal behavior for our highest ranking politicians.

Just the fact there is a Congressional slush fund to clean up accusations of sexual perversion in the Congress is unacceptable, there shouldn't be one US taxpayer dollar allocated to payoff any victim/accuser of sexual improprieties by members of Congress.

Until we have decent and moral people as a majority of Congress this nation will be in peril.....it's quite obvious decent and moral people are in the minority when it comes to members of Congress.

In a democracy, you're going to end up with a higher % of sociopaths running for representative roles due to the nature of elections and media. Normal people don't want to put up with that attention to get some artificial feeling of power.

Liberals have zero morals. Not much is going to change until we vote them all out.

When we stopped expecting Congress to actually legislate, what else should we have expected them to do?

Imagine if Massie tweeted everyday about the congressional hush fund like he does about the Epstein scandal.

I am far from "numb" to it. I am pissed off more and more every day that justice isn't served to those who abuse others because of their position in government. It is way past time for the scales of justice to tilt in favor of the people for the first time in decades.

Make no mistake. This has been going on for decades, hence the reason Ike gave us fair warning to beware the military-industrial complex. He was spot on, and the fruit of that bad tree in the 1950s has grown into a vine that covers every institution at the federal, state and local levels.

Start with the little self-important bureaucrats and get them to start singing and producing evidence against the larger fish in the swamp. I doubt any of them want to pay hefty fines or face jail time if all they have to do is turn on those above them.

It's how the FBI goes after the mafioso, and it works.

Massie is a coward. If he had any balls at all he would be calling for the release of the slush fund names.

Luna and Boebert have more balls than all of congress.

I would say that MTG would call for it is well....but since she fricked everyone that would do her...her name is probably on the list.

We aren't voting our way out of this and nothing will happen until a greater percentage of the population decides to stand up and do something.

It's a government by the people, for the people. We can't just sit back and expect these "elected officials" (at all levels) to act in our best interests.

Plus, many quality intelligent people make more money than representatives, so you're going to get a lot of people running for election who view going to DC to grift as their only way to make good money.

That’s not necessarily true as it costs a shite ton to be in office and most of these people come from money. The saying is that they get richer taking a pay cut in public service. It’s all about the power, connections, and kickbacks.
