Teams believe 2027 is a substantially better draft, especially at QB

I’m old enough to remember when 2026 was going to be a good QB draft class

Every year this is said

Carson Beck was a can't miss overall #1 just a couple of offseasons ago. Things change quick in CFB and the NFL.

It SHOULD be good with Manning, Moore, Carr, Sayin Sellers and Maiava. All could get into the first round

Several teams have said they believe Dallas is targeting a player the #Giants also covet, and getting ahead of them would be ideal if the price makes sense

Downs, right? Potentially Styles, I guess.

Can't think it'd be either Love or Tate given positional need.

Hilarious how this happens every cycle

“Next year is stacked, this year is a historically bad class”

In reality, teams are coming up one a year plus of evaluating this class and have highlighted all the flaws and red flags and over projecting the next class based on the small sample size they caught during this evaluation cycle

Everyone always says “trade down,” but there is a lot more demand for trading down than for trading up.

Scheme + transfer portal = bust.

You are seeing fewer and fewer QBs who are equipped to handle the speed and the intelligence of NFL defenses due to the current incarnation of the spread-based offenses. QBs in college have been relying less on their reading abilities and more on sideline adjustments. Now QBs are hopping from program to program and are being developed by multiple different coaching staffs, which hurts their development overall.

I would think it helps QBs to have a diversity of different schemes, coaches, teammates, and play styles in college. You’re going to have such changes in the NFL anyway, show them you can adjust to different situations

The NFL trade system is so fricking stupid.

You want to trade for a multi-year Pro-Bowler in his prime?

That'll cost you a 4th round draft pick.

Oh, you want to move up from the 12th pick to the 8th pick in the first round?

I'm gonna need this year's 2nd and 3rd round picks, next year's 1st rounder and we can swap draft selections in the 6th round.

Totally retarded.
