I have always boiled my potatoes corn, mushrooms, saiasge with my crawfish, but considering doing it separate on my large boils, just use one of my smaller pots.. question.. how much seasoning? Would the amount of potatoes / corn change the seasoning ration, or use same amount of seasoning I would typically use in that size pot for that volume of water

The Zattarins in a jar calls for 6 gallons of water to 4.5 pounds of seasoning. That .75 pounds of seasoning to 1 gallon of water. When I boil my vegetables. I put about 2/3 of the jar, when they done i take them out, add the rest of the seasoning and boil my crawfish. In that instance my ratio is about 1/2 pound of seasoning to 1 gallon of water.

I drop and soak the corn after I cut the fire. Boiling the corn makes it way more spicy.

Never mind. I misunderstood the question.

It would make sense to reduce seasoning ratio if not adding crawfish to a pot...probably because crawfish have a decent amount of water content that dilutes the water. So if not adding crawfish, water will be less diluted.

I think to get the seasoning in the potatoes you will still need a similar ratio. Throwing corn and sausage in towards the end of the potato cook shouldn't get too much heat in the corn and sausage. Once the potatoes got to the desired softness, cut the fire and drop the corn and sausage in for couple min and should be good. I don't think you would need to reduce the ratio a huge amount. You still need that normal ratio to flavor the potatoes.
