Is anyone using this for internet? I am thinking about switching from LUS. My LUS has been super slow lately. Also, I am currently using a TP Link Deco mesh extender. I assume I can use it with the new service. Thanks.

I can't imagine it being better than fiber.

He probably can't get fiber. Nothing is better than fiber.
But, my GF lives in the sticks and has Verizon wireless Internet, and it streams HDTV just fine. It stutters a little bit when her daughter is trying to download a game on PS5, but traffic should be prioritized no matter what.

Diagnose your home network first. Wire decos together if possible.

Kind of off subject, but does AT&T allow 2 simultaneous circuits to a home? I currently have AT&T fiber, but I'm looking at adding a back-up satellite/5G network (looking at Mint, ATT Air, Starlink, etc)

I mean if you’re using a mesh system, and it’s not wired, there is a much higher likelihood that the problems you experience are manifested by the local network as opposed to a service provider.

at&t already provides free cellular backup for at&t fiber/wireless customers. The gateways will automatically fall back to your phone after you get it setup.

No thanks. Requires the phone to be home during the outage.

No at&t will not allow/offer air at an address with fiber available. You'll have to go another 5G provider or cable internet for backup.

$65 a month for internet and voice. I don't stream much and I'm not a gamer, but for my purposes I have absolutely no complaints.

I have a relative who lives in the sticks. We installed the old AT&T Fixed Wireless, which draws from a cell tower, even though the AT&T cell signal in the house was almost nonexistent. It worked only because that old system installed an antenna box on the roof, and that high vantage allowed it to get a decent enough signal to Netflix, etc. Worked fine for years.
AT&T then mandated the change to AT&T Internet Air, which uses a small indoor hub/modem. We tried every position--up high, near a window, etc.--but it would not get enough signal to work.
Sent that crap back and got Starlink, which has been great. Also connected a $200 Wavlink outdoor access point, which blasts wifi to a mobile home over 250 feet away.

Starlink sounds like a great option but if you ever get in a similar situation again, you can add external antennas to the at&t air gateways. It isn't quite plug-n-play as you have to open the enclosure but it is possible and not overly difficult. Your complaint is a very common one regarding at&t air.

We use T-Mobile Home Internet. It's pretty good. We have lots of things on WiFi (TVs, outdoor security cameras, etc). I still plan to upgrade to Spectrum Fiber now that it's recently available in my area, plus a better 3 channel Mesh Network.

I live in the sticks and had AT&T DSL.
They disco'd the DSL and put me on Air.
Basically the same price, slightly cheaper, than DSL.
Works great for me.

Air is not what u want. Fiber is only way to go.

I have fiber at the main house, but they wouldn’t run it to the house on the back end of the property. AT&T Air is good enough to stream video on a couple devices at the same time, but not nearly as fast as fiber.
I have it set up with a mesh WiFi 6 deco system and it works fine.

I live in a very rural area. There are only a few options and Swyft offers fiber but ATT air was cheaper. I'm not a gamer and streaming a few TVs, phones, and using a laptop is never a problem. I'm very happy with it.
