He left the game up 3-1.
Fortunately, the crappy Pirates didn’t blow the W for him.
Dropped his ERA to 9.56
Man- he still needs to get the hell out of Pittsburgh

Jacob Misiorowski just struck out 7 through 6 only.giving up 2 for the Brewers.
imagine that staff with the miz on campus in 2023 and a healthy Grant Taylor
Bryce Turang hit a 2 run HR for Milwaukee as well

The Pirates manager pulled Skenes after 5 innings, and only 77 pitches. Pirates were up 4-1 at that point. The first pirates reliever proceeds to allow a base runner and then gave up a 2 run homer making it a 4-3 game right after Skenes got pulled. Luckily the Pirates did something they never do, and piled runs on after that.
The Pirates are a horrible organization, and this manager seems to not know what he’s doing. I get Skenes pitched in the WBC, and it’s early in the year, but why pull Skenes when he’s dealing at only 77 pitches? Skenes would have been good for another inning. Luckily the Pirates won, but no way Skenes turns it into a 1 run game either.

In fairness to the manager, most if not all pitchers from the WBC have been on pitch counts early. They didn’t get a typical spring training to ramp up

Pirates scored enough to get him a W his first outing this season.

I think most of us here are LSU baseball fans - it's difficult sometimes to relate to how they do things on the MLB level, but the season is more than twice as long and they have to do things differently.
