quote:

"They won't have a nuclear weapon because they are incapable of that now, and then I'll leave, and I'll take everybody with me, and if we have to we'll come back to do spot hits," Trump said.

"I'm dealing with a very good chance that we'll make a deal because they don't want to be blasted anymore."

"I didn't need regime change, but we got it because of the casualties of war. We got it. So we have regime change and the big thing we have is they're not going to have a nuclear weapon," said Trump, adding: "Nor do they want one."

As for the enriched uranium still possessed by Iran, Trump said: "That's so far underground, I don't care about that."

So apart from the obvious “I declare regime change”…

Iran “doesn’t want a nuclear weapon”, but we might be back for “spot hits”, but we’re looking to make a deal with this “new regime”.

Also we don’t care about any uranium left over there, and I’m assuming we expect them to abandon nuclear energy as well?

Not even sure where to start with this. The guy is speaking out of both sides of his mouth a lot lately.

Very interested to see exactly what sort of deal we will pursue here…

US to leave Iran 'pretty quickly' and return if needed, Trump tells Reuters

No worries, Isreal will continue to sound the alarm that Iran has almost, most definitely, certainly, have nuclear weapons soon!!

Same trope for decades.

Not a defense of Iran, just saying they have been saying this exact thing for a long time now.

No dude, you just want America to fail.

It’s either that, or the definition of TDS has shifted entirely…

You don’t need to be apologetic. IRGC are shite heads. Most governments in the ME, including our allies in the region, are.

You don’t have to love them to realize this is not a just war. They aren’t suicidal. BiBi has wanted this conflict forever & is barely distinguishable from Putin in his self-righteous militant expansionism.

Some of it is just Trump being Trump and some of it is by design. Either way, if we don't know what he is going to do, then that means he is successful in our enemies not knowing. This explains why Russia attacked Ukraine under Obama and Biden - NOT under Trump. With Trump, unlike Obama's "red lines" and Biden's "don't"; our enemies respect the US even if they don't like us/Trump.

We don’t have regime change. That’s just bullshite and everyone knows it. Especially the Iranians that were told to stand down until some moment in time when they would be signaled to rise up.

Uranium? What uranium?

I’m really not sure what we are trying to accomplish at this point. Regime change would’ve made sense at least.

I don’t even know if our allies respect us. There’s no way this improves US relations in the Middle East. I guess we’ll just be mowing the lawn here and there.

Got to arm the every day people that made up the protesters before the US discontinues operations and let nature take it’s course.

Really...considering all of the countries that were not involved that Iran attacked over the last four weeks?

And, as for Europe, they may not like him, but, in a crunch, they would come crawling back to the US.
