awesome play by su outfielder!… never took eyes off of ball… leaped, made catch, squeezed ball… THEN hit the wall, full speed… he had his off arm up, feeling for the wall, before he hit… and you could see the ball squeezed in his glove… and when he landed, sprawling on the track, he was looking for runners!!!…

It was one of the better plays that I’ve seen at Alex box, that’s for sure. Hell of a play.

These teams in mid-week games tend to have players that go ham against LSU. I believe it was against Nichols a couple years ago, where they made 3 or 4 plays amazing highlight reel defensive plays in one game against LSU.

That was absolutely a great play - took courage to go up after that ball knowing the wall was right there. Took skill and guts.
As for pure skill I think Curiel's diving catch of a ball hit over his head a few games back ranks as the greatest outfield catch I'd ever seen at any level

My blind arse couldn’t see if he made the first catch or not until they put it up on the big screen. It was a really good time in there last night. Even with the shitty weather. Southern played well and they have some dudes on that team.
