Nobody is talking about Fontenot as a starter

He’s pitched over 6 innings in relief with zero runs and one walk. He hit 99 mph multiple times with ridiculous run. I like him in the bullpen but if Evans can’t be consistent, he’s a great option

he's pitched 25 innings in his college career and hasn't gone more than 2 innings since his freshman year at Texas. His longest outing this year was 34 pitches against Grambling. His longest outing last year was 22 pitches against North Dakota
He's a great pitcher but he needs to be a bullpen guy

Are you meaning put Fontenot in the Friday slot and push Evans back to Sunday?
Or Schmidt to Friday, Fontenot to Saturday and Evans Sunday?
Because Evans should at the very least still be our Saturday or Sunday starter. You don’t take Evans completely out of the rotation because we know how dominant he can be when he’s on.

Nobody is talking about him starting because he's never pitched enough innings in college to be put into that role. Dude is a classic closer or set up guy. Leave him there.

Fontenot has never been stretched out his entire college career, he's a bullpen arm
