Even if they get 5 senators to call for a vote to remove him, it won't pass. These people are not serious about supporting the Trump agenda. They just aren't.

The sad part is that if you told Thune that he had a 100% chance of losing his election if he didn’t get the SAVE act passed, he would do nothing different.

This is the frickin truth of the matter. These people seriously do not care if they lose their majorities. In fact, secretly they likely hope that happens as it would allow the Democrats to turn the rest of Trump's tenure into a lame duck tenure and possibly even remove him from office.

Multiple house republicans? You mean 2 out of 218. That’s less than 1%.
So is it fair to say that after senate republicans leave for a two week Easter recess without addressing the 40+ day government shutdown of the coast guard, FEMA, and TSA by agreeing with Schumer and the democrats to partially fund DHS without CBP and DHS child sex trafficking funding, less than 1% of house republicans (2) and zero senate republicans have called for majority leader Thune’s removal?
I think that’s more than fair.
I also think that is why the republicans will lose in November. The only ones effectively working to implement Trump’s agenda are Trump and his administration. The vast majority of both houses of congress are working against Trump’s agenda which was overwhelmingly supported by the electorate in November 2024.

Yup. I’m old enough to remember that there was a lot of concern and resistance when it was determined that he would be majority leader.
