He’s been the most consistent
That gives you the best chance to win first game
Move Evans to game 2, take a little pressure off
Oklahoma was an outlier for Evans

No reason to pull a day of rest from schmidt right now. He can win saturdays for us

I think it's too early to make that call and give up on Evans as #1. May be best to let Schmidt get acclimated to #2 role before adding pressure on him to be #1, for now anyways.

I've wrestled with moving Schmidt to game 1, but still end up sticking with him on game 2 so far. Next game 1 is Friday in the cracker jack park in Knoxville. I wouldn't want to push him up on a day of less rest for that. Evans will be on normal rest, with more experience, and has a chance for a bounce back. Then, we go to Oxford, another hostile environment. Maybe you make a flip for A&M at home, when you could also potentially have Moore back and slot him at Sunday to give him even more rest.

Evans didn’t have his best stuff last, plus he was getting squeezed, but he competed his arse off and kept us in the game. 4-2 when he exited.
