Oh come on. We all know this is a mix of Todd Graves raising the price of a Caniac and Shaq repaying all the money Dale Brown funneled to him in the 90s.

I’m a Bama fan and will say this is just the result of a billionaire going all in on NIL and college athletics like Texas Tech and Indiana (Cuban).

There are plenty of conspiracies out there, not sure there’s any reason to see one with LSU.

If they're right about AIPAC supporting LSU athletics, I'm cool with that. Buy coaches, not politicians.

That's an insane amount of spending ... outlandish even.

Something crawfishy going on in Red Stick.

That's unsustainable.

Does LSU have any building improvements going-on within their Athletics Department?

Be honest corn dog coon asses. Y'all would be going WTF if the same was happening at Ole Miss, Bama, or Tennessee.

Crawfish prices will respond accordingly.

Yep, but just like you, we would be doing it out of pure jealousy.

Hey, listen, true story.

I knew a couple of weeks ago that we were talking to Will Wade as a possible replacement for Lamont Paris. Apparently, everyone knew he hated being in Raleigh at NC State ... especially his wife.

I also was told that his buyout was $3 mil and he wanted us to pay that PLUS up his contract.

We said thanks but no thanks. If Paris fails this upcoming season his buyout is $3 mil less after next season ... on paper that's a $6 million swing. Just good business, all things considered.

I don't believe any Gamecock fans are jealous. If Paris makes the tourney next year and has a really good season ... sobeit.

If he doesn't, we'll probably go after Hubert Davis who will be chomping at the bit to get back in, has great recruiting connections here in SC, and will be following the same path Frank McGuire took back in the day.

Also, SC's Legislature is very strict when it comes to in-state D1 schools' budgetary constraints. It's good fiscal policy and the older I get the more I see the upside to that approach.

If universities wanna operate as big corporations ... let them be autonomous. Don't rely on the taxpapers to bail them out of fiscally irresponsible business decisions.

So trust me ... jealousy doesn't play into this friend.
