Bigger prize for America First/MAGA, midterm victory or destruction of the Islamic Regime?

There's no way Trump 2.0 did not weigh and measure in great detail the potential fallout of Operation Epic Fury, both good and bad.
Best outcome of Operation Epic Fury is the complete decapitation of the Islamic Regime and the rise of a more pro West friendly non theocratic government.
The worst outcome of Operation Epic Fury is a long drawn out military campaign with hundreds of billions if not trillions of US taxpayer money spent and the Islamic Regime remains in control of the Persian people and the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.....this result would be undeniable disaster for the US.
The other consideration Trump 2.0 had to wrestle with prior to executing Operation Epic Fury is the Rs losing control of Congress after the 2026 midterms. We can all agree the Rs are at best marginally effective at implementing America First/MAGA agenda/policies. We know the Rs are marginally effective at pushing back against the Democratic Socialists as evidenced by the fact whether the Rs or Democratic Socialists control Congress the leftist political agenda creeps forward.
I really don't know what the final factor is that prompted Trump 2.0 to pull the trigger. I've heard the Israelis got in Trump 2.0's ear and convinced Trump the time to strike the Islamic Regime is now. I've heard there was an immediate and imminent threat the Islamic Regime was close to tipping a missile with a nuclear warhead. I've heard the US struck because the prior negotiations between the US and Iran were not proceeding to Trump's satisfaction and he was tired of being tapped along by the same Islamic Regime that has been tapping the US along for nearly 50 years. Maybe it was all of the aforementioned reasons?
Do you believe the Rs had a decent chance of holding Congress if Trump 2.0 does not execute Operation Epic Fury?
Do you believe the bigger prize is destroying the Islamic Regime and now was the time to strike and if that means losing the midterms so be it?
Do you believe Trump 2.0 can do both, destroying the Islamic Regime and at the same time the Rs hold Congress.
Do you believe the West/Christianity can peacefully coexist with Islamists?
Do you believe the confrontation between the West and Islam was unavoidable and inevitable?

The answer people are avoiding is Trump is probably getting black mailed at this point to go neocon, and go MAGA light. Starting to be the only legitimate answer.

I think If you were to ask most America First/MAGA types on this forum where they believe the Iranians are at with their nuclear weapon ambitions most would say the Islamic Regime is months if not more than a year from developing a viable nuclear weapon and the missile to deliver such a payload, still a real concern. Let's say Trump 2.0 did not have any credible intel showing the Islamic Regime was weeks, months away from having a deliverable nuclear weapon, if that is the case the focus should be on destroying the "enemies from within." Once the homeland is secure then you move on to making a final decision on how to deal with the Islamic Regime.
Here's the issue. Most America First/MAGA types on this forum prior to Midnight Hammer and subsequently, Operation Epic Fury, would have said the greatest threat to the constitutional republic are the "enemies from within" and in a broader sense, the Red/Green Alliance. Now the US is sidetracked with a major military operation in the ME/Iran with a lot at stake. The "enemies from within" are not being dealt with now, they are salivating over the potential for Operation Epic Fury to morph into a drawn out military operation that is still active into the late summer or fall of 2026. The Democratic Socialists are confident if Operation Epic Fury isn't a rousing success and isn't wrapped up before late summer/early fall, they will have full control of Congress after the 2026 midterms, a catastrophe for America First/MAGA.
Unfortunately it looks like the Democratic Socialist faction of the Red/Green Alliance is being gifted the House and maybe the Senate in the upcoming midterms and America First/MAGA knows what is coming when these leftists get power again.......Shampeachments and lawfare on steroids.
If this ^^^ occurs, what did America First/MAGA gain with Trump's triumphant return to the White House?
