It's pretty damn sad that basically all that the average American citizen can do is call and leave a message that this corrupt, bought-and-paid-for son-if-a-bitch will never even listen to. But when I found out that these bastards were leaving town and going on a totally undeserved vacation for at least 10 days, WITHOUT EVEN VOTING ON THE SAVE ACT, I wanted to leave him one last message. It helped me vent my frustration if nothing else.

Can you believe it? A Republican majority in both Houses of Congress, and yet those scumbags refuse to pass a bill that 85% of Americans support.

America's #1 enemy is our corrupt Political Establishment.

Kudos to you for trying. But they only respond to their State constituents... even then it is fake and fluff.

They know they're in the driver's seat and they don't care if we are angered enough to sit home for midterms.

So possibly, organize an online petition? What else is there to do when they don't serve or represent us? Any ideas?

You people are idiotic. Trump can’t do anything and you know it. You just want to blame him for everything

Good point... Trey Gowdy... the guy from Utah... they all get cushy positions on Fox News...

Possibly the ones that do leave do so only because It is such a Vipers nest in DC and they are tired of being blackmailed?

Let's start with the multi $1,000,000 sex harassment payoff funded by the taxpayers exposed. Term limits... and cut off all lobbyists foreign and domestic.

And then I woke up...

He can easily apply a lot more pressure on senate leadership. Don’t be dumb.

Don't be idiotic please... Trump can't fire the Congress critters, only we the people can. But we need common sense election laws which they won't allow.

No he can’t. John Thune doesn’t want it to pass, not sure why you can’t grasp that

He has already said he will write an executive order if they fail to do their jobs Regarding voter ID 1 day election holiday paper ballots etc etc. By statute and protocols he had to allow them to try to do their jobs for once...

Let's get real... Lindsey Graham was the only one in 2017 who stopped all of them from blocking hundreds and hundreds of Trump judge appointments.

Lindsey Graham is a neo con snake.. But he is a better friend than foe at this point.

So Trump can’t blast Republican Senate leadership daily and fire up their voters? Some of you on this board are complete morons.

More specifically, it is thr RINO GOPe.

They literally hold all the power right now, and they do NOTHING with it. When dims are in power, they do everything they can to advance their agenda, whether legal or not. At least they do what they say they're going to do. The GOPe makes their big promises to win/maintain their seats, and then they very predictably do nothing to help Americans.

I know. I would be better off if I didn't care as much as I do, but people like you and I are capable of having an idea of how great this country could be if our "representatives" would truly focus on whats best for this country. But unfortunately, most of them are looking to enrich themselves as opposed to doing what's right for the country. Hence, we have the total mess that we see today.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we have a lot of options. I was actually encouraged when Elon was talking about throwing some of his massive resources behind an effort to primary the "Bad Republicans." I was hoping that he and Scott Pressler would team up. But then, Elon got mad over something in the BBB and fell away. He eventually reconciled with Trump, but I've heard very little to nothing about Elon funding any candidates to primary some of these jerks like Cornyn and Cassidy who need to find another occupation.

At this point, about all I know to do is pray. Hopefully God still wants to save America and not see us eventually become just as pathetic as Canada or the UK. But at this point, George H.W. Bush's "New World Order" that he mentioned circa 1990 certainly appears to be in the driver's seat.

Well, when you can amass a fortune of anywhere from $30 million to $300 million on a salary of $190K, I can certainly see why these scumbags never want to leave. Most of them seem to die in office without ever retiring, and it's obviously because they don't want to relinquish some combination of the power and wealth (ill-gotten gains) which attaches itself to the job.

I sent a note to him and my 2 SC senators.

I told them I would never vote for them again. I know not much will happen.

That’s because Trump knows if they lose the Senate he will be impeached again. He has to play nice in public

Nothing will be done until the system collapses under it's own weight.
