The only way this ends favorably for us is regime change. There are only three ways for that to happen.

1. We arm the resistance
2. Their neighbors invade and eliminate the regime
3. We put boots on the ground and eliminate the regime

We can bomb them into the stone age but it won't matter if the regime stays alive and their military arm does as well. They have all the guns. The citizens don't have any way to fight back.

So in your fricked up world this ends with the same a-hole radicals in charge and we just kick the can down the road for future administrations to deal with. We did that with Iraq in the 90's. Spent billions policing the skies for a decade only to have to ultimately send troops all the way the frick back over there to topple Saddam. That shite doesn't work. Nothing is solved and all it does is cost us a lot of money.

You don't fight wars half arse. If you go to war you go all in until the other side surrenders unconditionally. Otherwise, don't go to war at all. It's been proven over and over again since WW2 that fighting half arse wars and endless wars is a failing strategy that only benefits the military industrial complex. This regime has been chanting death to America since 1979 and has done more to kill Americans abroad through terrorism than just about any other country in the world. Regime change is the only lasting solution. Period.
