I remember rumors of WW being unhappy that he was made promises about facility upgrades that didn’t come to fruition back when he was here the first time. With what looks to be a great contract, do we think that was factored in at all? I hope with the NIL promises for him we get some much-needed updates at the facilities.

They're going to build a new arena before spending serious capital on the PMAC.

Are we just going to ignore how close we are to building a new arena?!?!?

Unfortunately not for a while I don't think. We gotta get through the BK buyout, the McBuyout, the Wade buyout from NC State, and the NIL packages that cost more than some small country's GDP first. I think once the buyouts expire (assuming we don't have more) that is when you'll start to see a real push for upgrades.

I wonder the same thing. This should really make a bigger push for a new arena that him and Mulkey can enjoy if she is still coaching to see it.

Wade openly said out of his mouth that LSU was behind in facilities.

Urgency for Upgrades: In July 2019, Wade stated, "We're in desperate need of upgrades here" and highlighted the need to keep pace with top-tier programs.

Facility Improvements: He emphasized the need for a modern practice facility, aiming for improvements that would enhance team efficiency, similar to the advancements made in LSU football facilities.

It's the catalyst for the new arena to start picking up steam.
