The Bella Badger takes what she wants

Texas Tech's star Bailey Maupin scored 14 points in the first half, often with long range shots as the shot clock wound down. Bella Badger guarded her almost the entire second half. She scored 3 points on one basket and a free throw. Bella wouldn't even let her get many shots . She dogged her all over the court. The legend of the Bella Badger is born. She takes what she wants.

Girl is tough as nails. Love watching how many times she just bounces off hard screens and doesn’t miss a step. Fun to watch her tenacity out there

I am sure you have never seen her play because , wll you know its WBB and you would rather watch paint dry, huh?
Those who watch a close knit team play with great joy and tenacity appreicate the play of a precocious freshman who has not backed down from accepting the task of guarding more experienced stars and taking them out of the game. We see the plays that don't always show up in the box score like taking charges game after game , deflections, fighting through screens, doing the gritty work which affects the opponents flow and allows teammates to become more effective in their own play. When those plays occur game after game it does remind of another precocious freshman who was also the most disruptive defensive player on the football field.

Yes, I am in love with a freshman who scored over 3,000 points in high school, yet is wiling to accept the role of defensive stopper for a team which has plenty of scorers. A young player who understands her role and does it well is incredibly valuable.
