What is the Israel/Lebanon scrap about?

I get Israel/Gaza and Israel/Iran. But, I don't understand the Israel/Lebanon fight. Is Hezbollah acting a fool or is this just a straight up fight over land? Israel is dropping the hammer.

Hezbollah came to be after the devastating war in Lebanon with Israel in the early 80s. They were formed from the Shia Lebanese who have been part of the lower classes of Lebanon for a long time. They opposed the zionist regime and supported Palestinians. Being Shia they began coordinating and receiving material support from the Iranians. Israel has been fighting them off and on for awhile.

Before the strikes on Iran began Israel warned Lebanon not to allow Hezbollah to strike Israel. They told them outright before it began that if Hezbollah launched any attacks from Lebanon that they would start bombing civilian infrastructure inside Lebanon as retaliation. Hezbollah launched attacks anyways and now Israel is fricking their shite up.

Did I say I support it? I'm just answering the question posed in the thread. Israel told them beforehand that if Hezbollah attacks from Lebanon that they would strike Lebanon. They even told them the things they would bomb.
It still happened. Hezbollah launched 6 rockets into Israel and that was that.

It's the bare minimum they should do. The problem is they're going to level the area and tell people to never return.
